The Squires organization, its coaches, administrative
staff, and parents are committed to spiritual and moral growth
of boys, creating an environment through the discipline of
basketball whereby they can develop into young men who are
good citizens, and role models in their family, schools and
community.
To this end, the Squires pursue the following
specific goals:
- To promote positive character, consistent
with their family's values to honor parents, respect for
coaches, players, and others, self-discipline, and commitment
to community;
- To encourage academic excellence in school;
- To learn appropriate competitive behavior
and commitment to team play and sportsmanship;
- To provide an environment for sharpening
individual basketball skills and playing abilities; and
- To create opportunities for Squire players
to advance to higher education by earning basketball scholarships.
