Squires Mission
Mission Statement
The Squires organization, its coaches, administrative staff, and parents are committed to spiritual and moral growth of boys, creating an environment through the discipline of basketball whereby they can develop into young men who are good citizens, and role models in their family, schools and community.
To this end, the Squires pursue the following specific goals:
- To promote positive character, consistent with their family's values to honor parents, respect for coaches, players, and others, self-discipline, and commitment to community;
- To encourage academic excellence in school;
- To learn appropriate competitive behavior and commitment to team play and sportsmanship;
- To provide an environment for sharpening individual basketball skills and playing abilities; and
- To create opportunities for Squire players to
advance to higher education by earning basketball scholarships.

Did You Know?
Since 1987, more than 300 young men have received scholarships from colleges and universities; 150 have received scholarships to attend prep schools. Some have gained worldwide recognition, including prominent NBA players Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics, and Amare Stoudemire of the Phoenix Suns; two NFL players, Darren Sharper of the Minnesota Vikings and Johnathan Lewis of the Jacksonville Jaguars. In addition, 75 athletics have participated in the International Pro League in Europe.
